Small Business Start-Ups & Business Start-Ups

NOW YOU ARE IN BUSINESS! - July 2009

The team at Incorporating Ambitions wishes all our clients a 'Happy New Financial Year'. It appears that 2010 promises to be another challenging year for some businesses, however we have noticed an upturn in activity in the last quarter of 2009 and we are confident that the trend will continue. 1 July is the usual date for changes to government fees and this year is no exception. There is good news and bad news so read on..................

First a bit of bad news

From 1 July 2009 most of the fees for services provided by the NSW Office of Fair Trading will be increased to reflect the rise in the CPI since the last fee adjustment.

Effective from 1 July the fee for an Application for Registration of a Business Name has increased by $6.00 to $152.

But now the good news

To assist those starting up their business we have absorbed the OFT increase. So our fee for providing our clients with a same day over-the-counter business name registration is still only $266 (GST and OFT fee inclusive). Let us do the running around for you.

Our commitment to small business

We are committed to providing small businesses with the most valuable and efficient service during the 2010 financial year by continuing to upgrade our website and provide you with the services you need.

We are aware that many business structures include either a discretionary trust and/or a unit trust. Trusts can provide tax advantages as well as asset protection. Your accountant can explain the effect of trusts in these areas and advise you as to whether a trust structure would be effective for your particular circumstances.

For this reason Incorporating Ambitions will soon provide for the on-line ordering of discretionary and unit trusts.

Our fee for the establishment of trusts will be very competitive. The trust deeds and the ancilliary documents will be drafted and updated by BinetterVale Lawyers, accredited specials in business and personal tax.

Watch out for our August newsletter for more details about the launch of this new service.
